“Summer with the Radio” – How the Nida river formed a delta in the middle of its course.

We learn about the Nile Delta during lessons on ancient history in school. But who has heard of the inland delta of the Nida River? We discovered this unique place thanks to Mr. Piotr, one of our listeners, who described it to us on Facebook. We’re taking up his invitation! This is a phenomenon on a European scale. How did the river create a delta in the middle of its course? How is it possible that it then converges back into a single channel? And why does it now require renaturalization? We’ll find out at the Environmental Education Center in Umianowice, where we’ll get a stunning view of the Nida Delta from a lookout tower.
