09 Sep Polish primitive horses feel right at home in the delta.
Nature lovers are invited to Umianowice, where several Polish primitive horses are used as natural lawnmowers in the area of the Life4delta project.
A keen observer will notice, by looking at the animals, that the beautiful golden autumn is, unfortunately, slowly coming to an end. Already by late summer, the horses begin to graze intensively, which can be seen in their noticeably rounder bellies. An adequate amount of body fat helps them survive the winter.
If you’d rather not develop a “winter layer” yourself, we encourage you to spend the next weekend actively and head to the Ponidzie region.
A hike through the wild countryside allows for nature observation, bonding with the horses, taking beautiful photos, and creating memories that will warm you on long winter evenings.
