Polish Red is one of the oldest native cattle breeds. It thrives in harsh conditions, and its beautiful reddish coat and strong build captivate breeders. What’s more, its milk – rich in fat and protein – is perfect for producing long-aged cheeses with deep flavor and aroma.
As late as the interwar period, cattle of this breed made up a quarter of the entire national population! Later years saw a decline in numbers, but today, the Polish Red is returning to pastures.
We’ve also contributed a little to this revival, as our herd has just expanded by 14 Polish Red calves and one White-backed calf!
Take a look for yourselves!
