Today we observed the activity of two individuals of the great crested newt. Amphibians and reptiles are cold-blooded organisms and therefore need a higher temperature to be fully active. Currently, the temperature inside the terrarium is around 6.2 degrees Celsius. C.
Newts, just like all of us, are waiting for warm, spring sun rays. We look forward to waking all individuals and the real spring to come.
