27 Jun The spring series of educational and nature workshops has now come to an end.
Students from so many areas of our province were able to at least for a moment get away from the hum of daily chores and immerse themselves in the diverse natural world. Sometimes even ordinary things that we don’t notice every day suddenly cause so much joy and wonder…, it was so much fun to watch these young explorers as they caught ladybugs, watched snails or watched dewdrops run down the leaves.
We even witnessed the first steps taken by our foals in the pasture. It was wonderful to hear the students say, “this is the best trip,” “how nice and peaceful it is here”, “my dream was to touch a sheep”, or “how good this bun tastes when you eat it on the grass by the river.” Nearly 2,000 students participated in the workshop. We will see more groups in the autumn.
