23 May Today is World Turtle Day

World Turtle Day is celebrated on May 23 to promote awareness of the conservation of all turtle species. This holiday was initiated in 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue organization. In Poland, Word Turtle Day has been celebrated since 2009 and is organized by the Krakow Turtles Association.
