Workshops for students of the Training and Education Center in Pińczów.

On December 13, students from the Training and Education Center in Pińczów came to us for the LIFE4DELTA workshop.

We covered topics related to the active protection of species such as the fire-bellied toad, great crested newt and Thick shelled river mussel. Visiting the Nidarium gave the opportunity to see several species of fish that live in the Nida River and to learn about its biotope. Participants had the opportunity to meet two pond turtles, which aroused particular sympathy and discussion about invasive species such as the red-eared and yellow-bellied sliders.

The programme ended with a field visit to the project area, where we demonstrated the benefits of grazing animals: The Polish horse and Hereford cows.
