29 Oct Meeting on emergency patrols in the area of the LIFE4DELTA project.
On October 22, in the Nida delta in Umianowice, a working meeting was held, attended by the employees of ZŚiNPK and representatives of the County Fire Brigade in Pińczów, the Volunteer Fire Department in Umianowice, the County Police Headquarters in Pińczów, the Hunting Association of St. Hubert’s and PZW Małża.
The aim was to counteract and prevent practices that have a negative impact on the delta’s environment. Among the topics discussed were, among others :
– quad rallies that have a damaging impact on the environment, in particular on bird habitats,
– burning meadows and pastures (information about the prohibition of burning in Natura 2000 areas),
– water and land poaching,
– theft of wood,
– the subject of garbage (photo traps, preventive patrols, cleaning, information and educational meetings with the inhabitants of Umianowice),
– general rules for the protection of endangered species of flora and fauna.
