Mid-term Conference of the Life4Delta Project

Mid-term Conference of the Life4Delta Project

Last week was marked by the mid-term conference of our project when we had the extraordinary pleasure of hosting people from all over Poland.

On the first day, the conference was opened by Mr. Marshal Marek Jońca, together with the Director of ZŚiNPK Tomasz Halatkiewicz. The main topic was the presentation of the effect of several years of project implementation, in which we presented the results that have been achieved so far for the protection of our inland Nida River delta.

There was also the opportunity to observe our activities in the field. After the conference part, together we went to the field, where we had the opportunity to observe, among other things, the grazing of Polish horses and learn about the work on restoring the correct hydrology of the area.

The evening was full of other attractions. The visit to the Nature Education Center in Umianowice was graced by Max gotuje z Natury, who presented dishes that are hard to find on tables!

The second day began with short presentations of Polish LIFE projects working in the area of wetland habitat protection and retention. The lectures were listened to by the Governor of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Zbigniew Koniusz.

After a short presentation part, we went to Jędrzejów, where a ride on the Świętokrzyska Narrow Gauge Railway Ciuchcia Ponidzie awaited us.

Thank you all for participating and creating the future of the LIFE project family together!
