One of the tasks carried out in the project is to mow meadows in the delta one time. This is to prevent the succession of tree and shrub species and the overgrowth of herbaceous vegetation.
The mowing is carried out before the introduction of grazing Hereford cows, so that the new regrowth of herbaceous vegetation will provide good fodder for the resulting pasture.
