22 Dec We are starting the next stage of the LIFE project
A breakthrough in the Life4Delta project will come soon. The developed concept, supported by observations of field moisture conditions in the area of the Umianowice delta, will be put into action.
In the first stage of the complex process of improving water conditions, the Smuga Umianowicka will undergo maintenance and flow conditions will be improved. The whole section of the watercourse will be made available to the fish so they can spawn in spring. The water infrastructure of fords and culverts will be renovated. The retention will be improved by subjecting the boom gates to maintenance.
Improving the habitat is a complex topic, especially in such a valuable area. However, we hope that the work we intend to do will be a success from a naturalist point of view.
